New here

Your first
class.

Everyone in every room was new once. Here's everything we wish someone had told us.

The basics

Three things to know

That's genuinely all of it.

01

Arrive 15 minutes early

The first time, come 15 minutes before class. We'll show you the room, the props, and where the bathroom is. The big three.

02

Bring water and something to move in

Mats and props are free to borrow and we wash them like we mean it. For Hot 26, also bring a towel.

03

Not being flexible is fine

Perfect -- you're the target audience. Flexibility is a result of yoga, not an entry requirement. Half the room can't touch their toes either.

Practical things

What to bring. When to show up.

What to bring

  • Yourself -- that's the only non-negotiable.
  • Water -- a bottle you can refill at the studio.
  • Clothes you can move in -- nothing needs to be yoga-branded.
  • A mat? -- borrow one of ours for free. We wash them between every class.
  • A towel -- only for Hot 26. The room runs a steady 95F.
  • Props -- blocks, straps, blankets: all provided, all free to use.

When to arrive

  • 15 minutes early -- your first time. We'll do a quick welcome.
  • 5 to 10 minutes -- for any class after that.
  • Doors open -- 20 minutes before every class at all three studios.
  • Late? -- Let us know at the desk. Most teachers are happy to settle you quietly.
  • Book ahead -- it takes twenty seconds and guarantees your mat. Walk-ins work when the room isn't full.
Where to start

Classes that are good for first-timers

All of our classes welcome beginners. These four are the gentlest entry points.

Beginners Series

Four weeks, small group, zero assumed knowledge. Learn the shapes, the names, and how to set up your mat without guessing. Book the series, not a single class.

Best first step

Vinyasa Flow

Breath-led movement that builds heat and ends quiet. Our most popular class. All levels with options throughout -- the teacher will show you what to do if you're unsure.

All levels

Restorative

Props, blankets, and almost no effort. The class your nervous system has been asking for. A genuinely soft landing if you want to try yoga without any intensity at all.

Very gentle

Yin

Long, supported holds that work the deep tissue. Three minutes in one shape can be a long time in the best way. Quiet room, no pace pressure.

Asked all the time

Before your first class

Do I need to be flexible?

Perfect, you're the target audience. Flexibility is a result of yoga, not an entry requirement. Half the room can't touch their toes either.

Do I need to book, or can I walk in?

Book if you can; it takes twenty seconds and guarantees your mat. Walk-ins work when the room isn't full.

What do I bring?

Yourself, water, and clothes you can move in. Mats and props are free to borrow and we wash them like we mean it. For Hot 26, add a towel.

How early should I arrive?

Fifteen minutes early the first time. We'll show you the room, the props, and where the bathroom is. After that, five to ten minutes is plenty. Doors open twenty minutes before every class.

How hot is Hot 26?

A steady 95F with managed humidity. Hot enough to mean it, not hot enough to be a story. If you're not sure whether to start there, start with Vinyasa Flow first.

What's the cancellation window?

Free cancellation up to 8 hours before class so the spot can go to someone on the waitlist. Inside that window, the visit is used.

Is the $49 intro offer really unlimited?

Yes. All studios, all classes, the online library, 14 days. One per person, ever.

I'm pregnant. Which classes can I take?

Prenatal is built for you. Beyond that, talk to Priya after booking a consult; many students flow right through their pregnancies with adjustments.

Which class should I take first?

The Beginners Series is the front door: four weeks, small group, zero assumed knowledge. If that doesn't fit your schedule, Vinyasa Flow (all levels, options throughout) or Restorative (very gentle, props provided) are both solid starting points.

Are mats really free to borrow?

Always. We wash them like we mean it.
